It has been many years since I had driven a horse and never in a tree work situation but your approachable manner made asking questions easy. You built on my previous experience and lead me on to learn some very useful skills. I now know log clearance on steep banks is totally doable using horses.
Thanks for sharing your skills and letting me work with your very experienced horses. I would recommend this course to people who want to learn that horse logging is something you can learn and use also to people who just want time out in a beautiful place and the opportunity to work with your amazing Cobs. All much appreciated.

Crunchie works his horses as a sole means of timber extraction As a custodian of his ancient woodland he passionately believes it is his duty to respond to the future by learning from the past. The horses work the woodland as part of a low impact woodland management system, thus creating a mosaic of habitats which increases the wonderfully rich bio diversity.
